Macau revenue expected to rebound after a softer August
Analysts project a return to year-on-year growth in September, though the comparison is helped by last year’s typhoon disruption.

Separate forecasts from JP Morgan Securities and Seaport Research Partners pointed to renewed year-on-year growth in Macau casino gross gaming revenue during September. JP Morgan projected MOP19.64 billion, approximately 7% higher year on year, while Seaport projected around MOP20.12 billion, or 10% growth.
The outlook followed August market-wide GGR of MOP21.89 billion, which was 1.2% lower year on year but 8.1% higher than July. The important qualification is that September’s expected expansion partly reflects an easier comparison with September 2025, when the market was affected by a typhoon.
